Hey!

My name is Joe Tufte and I’m a filmmaker, actor, professor and creative based in South Florida.

I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from University of Wisconsin Stevens-Point, and a Master of Fine Arts in Film from Ohio University School of Film.

Currently, I’m employed at Barry University in the Communication Department as the Media Production Specialist and Miami-Dade College Kendall Campus in the Arts & Philosophy, Film & Digital Production Department.

Three of my films have played at multiple film festivals across the US, most notably Athens International Film and Video Festival, and OUTshine LGBTQ+ Film Festival here in Southern Florida.

I starred in a supporting role in Fallen Fruit, which premiered at Miami Film Festival in 2024.

I’m currently represented by Applegate Agency, and always looking to land my next role in a film!

When not teaching, making movies, acting, or networking, I’m either rollerblading, practicing Japanese, reading comics or watching movies.
